Very good copy with faint spots of foxing to endsheets. The dust jacket is in very good condition, but shows some light soiling. Beautifully illustrated by Peter Parnall, who was also the illustrator for Edward Abbey's Desert Solitaire. A juvenile title about life in the Bear River Migratory Bird refuge, a freshwater marsh on the shores of the Great Salt lake in Utah.
