Leather bound. 976pp. Quarto [26 cm] Light brown leather with raised bands and red and black gilt stamped leather spine labels, and double blind ruled borders on the covers. Volume 1 only. Good only. Ex-library, with evidence of marks having been removed. The spine and covers have numerous dark stains. A notation has been blacked out with marker on the bottom edge of the text block, and a notation has been rubbed out on the title page, leaving several thin open tears in the page. There is a previous owner's small label on the front pastedown. The pages are clean, and the book is very sturdy. "Compliments of James J. Hammond" slip bound in at the title page. Item #43587
