Leather bound. 846pp. Quarto [29 cm] 3/4 brown leather with green cloth covered boards, raised bands, and a gilt stamped title on the spine. Marbled edges and endsheets. Good only. The extremities are rubbed, and the spine and large areas of the covers are sun faded. The boards are exposed at the corners. There are a couple of small tears in the leather at the head of the spine and on the surrounding on the front board. The longer tear is in the leather of the front board, and measures 1 and 1/2 inches long. The front hinge is broken, and underlying front board is pulling away from the cloth and leather surface. The front free endsheet, front flyleaf, and frontispiece page are completely detached, but present. The pages are tanned, but very clean. All plates present. Item #34253
