Zurich: Limmat-Verlag, 1958. German edition. Hardcover. 182pp. Octavo [20.5 cm] Flexible yellow cloth covered boards. Very good. The covers are just a tiny bit warped, and there are several minor stains on the front cover. There is a previous owner's brief notation on the rear pastedown. The dust jacket is in good condition only, with numerous tissue repairs backing tears and small losses along the edges, folds, and surface of the jacket's spine. The largest loss measures 1 and 1/4 of an inch wide by 3/4 of an inch deep. Also very lightly rubbed, creased and soiled. Gently age-toned. The jacket's spine is darkened. Item #34861
Treverton 1007, Recknagel 446, Howard 15a. "B. Traven's early life is a jungle of conjecture, myth, and misdirection. Even today, with access to both the Traven archives in Mexico and the Marut archives at the University of California at Riverside, nothing is known about his childhood, his parents, or even the name he was born with." - Edward N. Treverton.
