Chicago and New York: Rand, McNally & Company, 1894. Hardcover. 952pp. Very thick octavo [23 cm] Dark blue cloth over boards stamped in gilt. Floral endpapers. The rear endpaper is cracked along the hinge, and both hinges are going. The text block is cracked at the title page. With a presentation inscription on the front flyleaf: "Presented to Pioneer Stake R. S. by Annie Wells Cannon, Dec. 8th, 1906." Annie Wells Cannon was a prominent women's suffragist in Utah, who served twice in the Utah House of Representatives, as well as serving as president of the Utah Daughters of Pioneers. A nice association copy. May require extra postage due to weight. Fair. Item #53421

From the Announcement- "The series of World's Congresses which convened in Chicago during the World's Columbian Exposition under the auspices of the World's Congress Auxiliary, of which the Hon. Charles C. Bonney is president, were opened by a Congress of the Representative Women of all Lands. This Congress was, without doubt, the largest and most representative gathering of women ever convened in this or any other country."
