The Utah geography is taken from Fremont's 1845 map, with a channel between Utah Lake and Great Salt Lake. Salt Lake City is the sole settlement depicted. The Great Basin is labeled "Fremont Basin," and "Tueson" is shown fifty miles east northeast of Tubac.
