Salt Lake City, UT: Trent Harris, 2020. 1/10. SIGNED. Unpaginated. Oblong octavo [21x28cm]. Matte pictorial paper over boards. New. Item #58602

Signed and numbered #4 out of 10 by the author in black ink on title page. “Tenderenda the Fantast” is a visionary novella written by Hugo Ball, the father of the Dada movement in Switzerland. That book was to be released in 1922, illustrated with woodcuts by Hans Arp. The plan was never realized. Ball’s manuscript gathered dust until it was finally published in 1967. In the spirit of Dada, I have created “Curiosa”. Short phrases were lifted from ball’s book at random and a few words added here and there. The collages were created from Dada era pornographic images.
