One of the photographs depicts a woman with a large group of children (mostly girls, but some boys as well). The other photograph shows a man with an equally large group of boys. The groups are most likely students with their teachers. Light edgewear. Very Good. Item #66956
Central City is a historic mining settlement founded in 1859 during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. The city is located 35 miles west of Denver. When gold was discovered in 1859, the population of Central City spiked to 10,000. The area came to be viewed as one of the cultural hubs of Colorado's mining country.
