From the Publisher-
"The Galaz Ruin is the site of a village that was occupied by the Mimbres people between about A.D. 550 and 1350. It is best known as a rich source of pottery- Galaz has yielded over 800 Classic Mimbres bowls- but the site is important to archaeologists for other reasons as well: the complexity of its structures, its long occupation, and the large number of data it has produced that can be used in archaeological interpretation. This account of Galaz and its archaeology brings together all the information available on the site, including not only data collected by the Mimbres Foundation excavations in the 1970s but also the findings of archaeologists who dug there in the 1920s.
