Date noted in pen in top margin. Short closed tears to bottom left corner and tiny chip to bottom right corner. Minor tidemark along bottom edge. Brief notation in pen along with 10 small doodles on the reverse (all but one in pencil). With inset "No. 16 Map of the Columbia River from the Cascades to the Pacific Ocean." Very Good. Item #70352

Oregon Territory as claimed by the United States, extended from N. Lat. 42° to 54°40', but by the treaty of 1846, the 49° parallel was adopted as the northern boundary.
