3:00PM - SEGO & SALT TAROT LAUNCH PARTY -
Join us for the launch of the Sego & Salt Tarot Deck by Joshua Baird. There will be tarot readers doing readings and light refreshments.
This tarot deck focuses on Mormonism’s first century, when the movement was most innocent, most divergent, most intellectually adventurous—and as a result most peculiar. Many of its defining episodes—visions, migration, violence, folk magic, polygamy—map naturally onto the tarot’s system of archetypes, which span light and shadow, beauty and terror. The tarot is especially well suited to preserving the parts of history we might prefer to forget. Just as light in painting requires shadow to achieve luminosity, so too does Mormonism’s story require its darker chapters if we are to learn from it fully.

5:00PM - DREAMING SESSION: A Storytelling Workshop by INTERDISCIPLINARY ART COLLECTIVE -
As part of their new community arts programming series The Sessions, IAC artists will be leading a Social Dreaming workshop. Social Dreaming is a conversation-based community practice developed by sociologist Gordon Lawrence that gathers a group together to talk, release our dreams into the collective (un)consciousness, and allow new ways of thinking and communicating to emerge. Participation is open to anyone and everyone!

This is a band of amazing Utah-based musicians featuring Kate MacLeod, Mark Hazel, Jim Stout, Mandy Danzig, and Bob Smith.
Awarded "Best of the West" by the Far-West Division of Folk Alliance International, Kate’s songs, many inspired by the American West, have reached far beyond the borders of Utah to a fan base of international listeners. Kate is among the burgeoning artists known as Neo-Traditional Americana, defined as new music inspired by Traditional American, Celtic, Bluegrass and Old-Time music.
