Interdisciplinary Arts Collective is a Salt Lake City-based performing arts group made up of musicians, dancers, poets, actors, artists, and anti-artists. We operate within avant garde and fantastical realms, with a focus on experimental art-making and collaboration. Our practice ranges from the performance of contemporary repertoire to the creation of new works, the staging of performance art and sonic experiments, and community-oriented arts activations. Together, we are dedicated to listening, experimenting, and playing with time.
Or if you need something even shorter: Interdisciplinary Arts Collective is a community of musicians, dancers, poets, actors, artists, and anti-artists listening, experimenting, and playing with time together.
June 19th | 5:00pm | The Ghost Opera -
Enjoy an excerpt from IAC's latest creation, And you ghosts rise blue - an experimental opera coming to the Masonic Temple June 23-25. The artists use live music, electronic remixes, sung and spoken text, dance, and video to open a rift in the space-time continuum and call in voices past and future, real and unreal. Catch a sneak peek of the show before opening night!
JUNE 20th | 5:00pm | Dreaming Session -
As part of their new community arts programming series The Sessions, IAC artists will be leading a Social Dreaming workshop. Social Dreaming is a conversation-based community practice developed by sociologist Gordon Lawrence that gathers a group together to talk, release our dreams into the collective (un)consciousness, and allow new ways of thinking and communicating to emerge. Participation is open to anyone and everyone!
