Reading with Poet Melissa Bond

Ken Sanders Rare Books is pleased to announce an evening with poet Melissa Bond, including a reading from her new show called Dear Little Fish on Friday, January 27th at 7:00 p.m. at our downtown bookstore (268 South 200 East). This event is free and open to the public.

Melissa Bond has been writing and performing poetry and other works for over 20 years. After moving to Salt Lake, she ran the first Poetry Slam in Salt Lake and continued to run and host it for over 8 years. She is the recipient of the 2002 Mayor's Artist Award for the Literary Arts and has been voted Best of in Poetry in the City Weekly numerous times. She was Associate Editor and Poetry editor of the Wasatch Journal until its demise in 2009. She was a finalist for the Western Publishers Association Maggie awards in that same year. Her chapbook Hush was published by Elik Press. Bond is also the voice behind the blog at ieatyoumama.wordpress.com/
