Ken Sanders Rare Books is pleased to announce a book signing with Kevin “Kal” Kallaugher Tuesday, June 25th at 7:00 p.m. at our downtown bookstore (268 South 200 East, SLC). Salt Lake Tribune Cartoonist, Pat Bagley, will be introducing Kallaugher. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited, so please show up early. Copies of “Daggers Drawn” (Chatsworth Press, $35.00 hardcover) will be available for signing and purchase on the night of the event.

About Kevin “Kal” Kallaugher:

Kevin Kallaugher (KAL) is the international award-winning editorial cartoonist for The Economist magazine of London and The Baltimore Sun. In a distinguished career that spans 35 years, Kal has created over 8000 cartoons and 140 magazine covers. His resumé includes 6 collections of his published work, one man exhibitions in six countries, international honors and awards in seven. Since 2006, Kal, a native of Norwalk, Ct has been the Artist-in-Residence at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). He has created acclaimed animations and calendars, toured the US with Second City and addressed audiences around the world. In 1999, The World Encyclopedia of Cartoons said of Kevin "Commanding a masterful style, Kallaugher stands among the premier caricaturists of the (twentieth) century.” Kal lives near Baltimore, Maryland and when not drawing, enjoys snacking on crabcakes and flyfishing in local waters.
