Madrid: Espasa-Calpe, S. A., 1969. Hardcover. Quarto [28 cm] Green cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles and linear designs on the spines and covers. Very good. The edges of the spines and covers are gently bumped and rubbed. The spines are slightly rolled. The bottom edges of the text blocks are lightly scuffed. The cloth along the joints of volume 2 is rippled. There is a light red stain on the fore edge of the text block That measures 5 inches long. There are also a couple of smaller, lighter stains on the fore edge as well. The front endsheet of volume 2 is cracked along and near the hinge. One of the front flyleaves has a lengthy gift inscription, the other front flyleaf has a brief previous owner's inscription. The pages are subtly yellowed at the edges. The dust jackets are in fair condition only, with much wear and tear and multiple large losses from the edges. There are two long tape "repairs" to the dust jacket of volume 2. Rear panels soiled.
