The Long Memory:

Duncan Phillips and Morgan Snow

Ken Sanders Rare Books is pleased to invite you to attend a concert at the bookstore tomorrow night! 7pm tomorrow, Saturday May 5th at the bookstore (268 South 200 East). The concert will feature Duncan Phillips (singer, songwriter, son of Utah Phillips) and Morgan Snow (a local singer and songwriter). This event is part of our Long Memory Series, honoring the memory of activist and folksinger Utah Phillips, and raising funds to support the Long Memory Project, which is a nonprofit organization seeking to maintain a permanent public archive for the works of Bruce "Utah" Phillips. This event is free and open to the public.

“Yes, the long memory is the most radical idea in this country. It is the loss of that long memory which deprives our people of that connective flow of thoughts and events that clarifies our vision, not where we’re going, but where we want to go” –U. Utah Phillips

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
